In this vital role, you will be responsible for the sterilization, preparation, and management of surgical instruments and medical equipment to ensure patient safety and compliance with health standards. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sterile processing procedures, anatomy, and physiology, contributing to the seamless operation of our medical services. This position offers an opportunity to support healthcare delivery through meticulous instrument management and infection control practices. Duties Receive, inspect, and assemble surgical instruments and medical devices according to established protocols. Operate sterilization equipment such as autoclaves, ensuring proper cycles and validation procedures. Maintain accurate inventory records of sterile supplies using inventory management systems. Ensure all instruments are properly cleaned, disinfected, and sterilized in accordance with aseptic techniques. Document sterilization processes meticulously to comply with regulatory standards. Assist in the storage, distribution, and tracking of sterile supplies within clinical areas. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure instrument readiness for procedures. Follow strict infection control policies and safety guidelines at all times. Conduct routine quality checks on sterilized equipment and report any discrepancies or malfunctions. Stay updated on best practices in sterile processing, anatomy knowledge, and medical terminology.
MUST HAVE
Two years of Sterile Processing Experience required [
REQUIRED
] Must have a current BCLS certification.
