Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Central Processing Technician with certification to join our dynamic healthcare team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for ensuring the proper sterilization, processing, and management of medical instruments and equipment. Your expertise will support patient safety and clinical efficiency by maintaining strict adherence to sterile processing protocols and inventory management. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care through meticulous processing and handling of surgical tools and devices. Responsibilities Perform sterilization procedures on surgical instruments and medical devices using approved sterilization techniques and equipment. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, ensuring accurate tracking, restocking, and documentation of all processed items. Follow strict aseptic techniques during instrument handling to prevent contamination and ensure compliance with infection control standards. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, inventory logs, and processing activities in accordance with regulatory guidelines. Conduct routine inspections of sterilization equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any malfunctions immediately. Collaborate with clinical staff to facilitate timely delivery of sterile instruments for scheduled procedures while adhering to safety protocols. Skills Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control standards. Expertise in aseptic technique to maintain a sterile environment during processing activities. Excellent attention to detail with the ability to follow complex procedures accurately. Effective communication skills for coordinating with clinical teams and documenting processes thoroughly. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of safety and quality.
