Job Description

The Sterile Inventory Specialist is a dual role performing sterile processing in support of Surgical Services and inventory management functions in support of Supply Chain. The position is responsible for the decontamination, inspection, assembly, sterilization of surgical instruments and reusable medical devices. The role is also responsible for the overall receiving, storage, and distribution of medical and general supplies within assigned areas. Duties include but are not limited to: Sterile Processing Perform daily Sterile Processing tasks, including the transport and processing of surgical instruments and reusable medical devices. Perform and document required quality assurance activities, including sterilization cycle records, biological and chemical indicators, and environmental monitoring as required. Inventory Specialist Perform daily Inventory Specialist tasks, including, but not limited to, receiving, inventory management, distribution functions, at assigned areas. Ensure departments receive proper supplies while providing superior customer service. Combined Identify opportunities for process improvement across Sterile Processing and Supply Chain operations to drive efficiency and reduce waste. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as hospital policies, related to Sterile Processing and Supply Chain functions. Other duties as assigned. Hours/Shifts 80 hours biweekly, shifts Monday-Friday at the Elbow Lake Medical Center. Please note that this is an Enterprise role that is mostly based out of Elbow Lake with occasional work as needed in Fergus Falls.
Compensation Hourly Wage Range:
$20.94-$26.80/hour. Please note that final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications and internal equity considerations. Education/Special Skills:
High school graduate or equivalent degree preferred. Two years of experience in Sterile Processing and/or Supply Chain is desirable. Successful completion of the pre-employment health screening process is required. Must be able to attend the work site as scheduled.
Licensure/Certification:
Sterile Processing certification is preferred.
Work Experience:
Experience in a healthcare environment is preferred. Ability to communicate effectively, in English, both orally and in writing. Valid MN driver's license required.
