Essential Functions:

Percentage Time Accountability 50%

Instrument Rework/Reconditions/Repairs:

Rework/Recondition Repair instruments from all family types. Remove staining. Restore jaws. Adjust as needed. Restore finish. 5%

Instrument Modifications:

Perform the following modifications on instruments from all family types. Satin Finishing. Remove Ratchets. Angle Shanks Cold. Curve Forceps Jaws Cold. Filing DeBakey teeth. Ratchet cut down (Full) Finger Ring Style. Tension adjustment. Basic Jaw Cut Downs. 5%

House Keeping, Equipment Operation & Preventative Maintenance:

Clean and maintain Repair Shop and personal work space. Perform daily/weekly preventative maintenance tasks. Keep work areas organized and free of clutter. 5% Fill orders/repairs: Fill daily orders/repairs: Check packing list for instrument(s) number. Locate instrument(s). Quality Control instrument(s) and Oil all working parts. Package instrument(s) with company warranty and header, double check and deliver to Traffic Department. 20%

Demonstration Case/Wet Lab Builds and Reconditions:

Verify inventory. Record inventory and instrument condition. Recondition instruments as needed. Quality check all instruments. 5% Prepare instruments for etching: Review paperwork for etching requirements. Verify quantities and required etching. Prepare etching form with required information. Deliver instruments and laser etching form to traffic. Receive instruments back from etching, quality check, and place in appropriate stocking location. 5% Miscellaneous instrumentation duties: Restock instruments: Process credits and return to stock. Process returns from other departments and return to stock. Process any other instruments for return to stock.

Cross reference instruments:

Determine if competitor instruments can be matched by company instruments. Document catalog number for potential matches.

Inventory control:

Maintain FIFO. Conduct cycle counts as required & physical inventory participation. Only pull instruments from stocking locations with proper paperwork in hand. Ensure all physical transactions are processed as system transactions.

Decontamination:

Process potentially used product through decontamination daily. 5% Any other duties as requested by supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications:

Skills:

Aptitude/ability to produce finely detailed and high quality products. Ability to easily understand verbal and written instruction/guidance. Ability to stand, stoop and/or stretch for periods of time. Good vision for observing fine detail, and colors. Good hearing to identify sounds. Ability to feel functions of instruments and equipment with hands. Requires ability to lift up to 35 lbs. Demands work on feet to pull from shelves and walk aisle to locate items in the warehouse.
