Pay Range:
$19-$23/hour
Shift Differential:
Additional $2.25/hour for second shift Job OverviewWe are seeking experienced Sterile Processing Technicians to support a busy healthcare SPD department in Chesterfield, MO. This role is responsible for cleaning, decontaminating, assembling, sterilizing, and distributing surgical instruments and equipment to support safe and efficient patient care. This is a great opportunity for candidates with SPD experience who are looking for a stable second-shift schedule and the opportunity to grow within the sterile processing field. Key ResponsibilitiesClean, decontaminate, inspect, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments and traysPrepare case carts and instrument sets according to department needsOperate sterilization equipment and follow proper infection control proceduresMaintain accurate documentation related to sterilization and instrument processingEnsure instruments and equipment are processed according to hospital and regulatory standardsSupport operating room and clinical teams by ensuring instruments are available and ready for useFollow department policies, safety guidelines, and quality standardsAssist with endoscopy reprocessing when needed, if experiencedRequirementsPrevious Sterile Processing Department experience requiredAbility to work second shift, Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM-11:30 PMAbility to work approximately one weekend per monthStrong attention to detail and ability to follow strict processesReliable, team-oriented, and able to work in a fast-paced healthcare environmentPreferred QualificationsCRCST certification preferred, but not requiredEndoscopy reprocessing experience preferredStrong knowledge of surgical instruments and sterile processing workflowsAdditional InformationCandidates who are not currently CRCST certified may receive support in obtaining certification.
