Sterile Processing Tech Columbia, MO 65201 $1,601 a week - Contract $1,601 a week - Contract Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Sterile Processing Technician for a 13-week travel contract at a leading healthcare facility in Columbia, Missouri. The technician will play a critical role in ensuring surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, assembled, and distributed to support safe patient care. This is a quick-start opportunity ideal for candidates with at least 1 year of experience and CRCST certification. Responsibilities Decontaminate, inspect, assemble, sterilize, and distribute surgical instruments and medical equipment. Prioritize trays and workload based on the operating room surgery schedule. Operate and troubleshoot steam sterilizers and sterilization equipment. Follow infection control standards and manufacturer guidelines for sterilization processes. Inspect and ensure instruments are properly assembled and functioning correctly. Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of sterile and non-sterile supplies. Identify and report equipment malfunctions, process failures, and safety hazards. Support inventory control and supply management across hospital departments.
