Job Summary:
The Sterilization Technician is responsible for keeping dental instruments clean, sanitized, organized and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities:
Familiar with and follows OSHA standards. Ensures that instruments are sterilized as soon as feasible as they are brought into central sterilization. Maintains the cleanliness and order of all areas of sterilization. Keeps accurate logs of spore testing. Uses the system in place to monitor and track the instruments through sterilization. Keeps the dental director apprised of any issues or concerns with equipment, supplies or procedures related to sterilization. Is responsive to special requests or needs of the providers with regard to instruments and handpieces. All other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Experience in a healthcare setting. Education may be substituted for lack of experience. CRCST Certification
