Job Title:
Wash and Sterilization Technician Job Description Join our team as a Wash and Sterilization Technician, where you will play a crucial role in maintaining aseptic conditions and supporting the Filling and Formulation teams. Your work will ensure the timely supply of sterilized components and equipment, in alignment with business and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Perform aseptic activities including processing components, parts, assemblies, troubleshooting equipment, and aiding in setup and teardown of equipment. Clean, prepare, wrap, assemble, and sterilize production components and parts. Check and adjust mechanical assemblies critical for accurate aseptic filling of insulin. Inspect process components necessary for insulin formulation within an aseptic environment. Operate, monitor, and control equipment systems and processes. Achieve production goals and cross-train to become proficient in the setup and operation of all filling operations. Maintain aseptic areas, perform sanitizations, and environmental monitoring. Participate actively in support event response. Review, revise, and author SOPs and other documents as required. Assist during equipment maintenance, including restoration of lost function and predictive and preventative maintenance. Record and review production data in BPR associated forms. Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties. Carry out other accountabilities as assigned. Essential Skills Experience in Bioworks, manufacturing operations, or biotechnology. Proficiency in Grade A cleanroom environments. Ability to be on your feet for up to a 12-hour shift. Knowledge of GDP and GMP standards. Experience in health care or previous manufacturing experience (GMP). Pharmaceutical experience is a plus, with regulated experience in food, medical device, or cosmetic industries being essential. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience in a manufacturing environment is advantageous. Bioworks or Associates degree in Biotechnology, indicating a strong desire to be in the pharmaceutical industry and a willingness to learn more. Work Environment This role is based in a manufacturing environment with a night shift on a 2-2-3 schedule. Employees will start on a day shift (Monday to Friday) for training before transitioning to the night shift if hired for that schedule. The work environment can be demanding, as the team is currently overworked, but there is strong support and encouragement from colleagues. Scrubs and closed-toed shoes or work boots are required, with a locker room provided for changing. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Clayton, NC. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $29.09 - $29.09/hr.
