The Role:
We're looking for a detail-oriented person who takes infection control seriously. As Dental Sterilization Technician, you'll process and sterilize instruments, maintain our sterilization equipment, manage inventory, and ensure we're following the highest infection control standards. This role is essential to patient safety and clinical operations
What You'll Do:
Process and sterilize dental instruments following strict infection control protocols Operate autoclave and other sterilization equipment properly and safely Clean, inspect, and package instruments for sterilization Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles and equipment maintenance Follow CDC and OSHA infection control guidelines and best practices Monitor sterilization equipment and report any issues immediately Manage instrument inventory and reorder supplies as needed Keep the sterilization area organized, clean, and efficient Support clinical staff by ensuring instruments are available when needed Monitor expiration dates on sterilized instruments and rotate stock Maintain sterilization logs and quality control documentation
What You Need:
High school diploma or equivalent Attention to detail and commitment to infection control Ability to follow protocols and procedures precisely Reliable and punctual Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds Willingness to learn and ask questions Prior medical/dental experience is preferred
