Job Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Sterile Processing Technician, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety and well-being of patients through meticulous sterilization and preparation of medical instruments. Your expertise will help maintain the highest standards of infection control and instrument readiness, supporting healthcare professionals in delivering exceptional patient care. This position offers an engaging environment where attention to detail, efficiency, and teamwork are essential to success. Responsibilities Properly clean, disinfect, and sterilize surgical instruments and medical equipment following established protocols. Inspect instruments for damage or wear, ensuring all tools meet safety and functionality standards before use. Manage inventory levels of sterile supplies, accurately tracking and documenting all items processed. Maintain detailed records of sterilization cycles, equipment maintenance, and instrument tracking for compliance purposes. Adhere strictly to aseptic techniques to prevent contamination during processing procedures. Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure timely availability of sterile instruments for upcoming procedures. Follow all safety guidelines related to handling hazardous materials and biohazard waste disposal. Qualifications
MUST BE CERTIFIED IN SPD
Knowledge of sterile processing techniques and infection control standards. Strong understanding of anatomy and physiology to identify appropriate instruments for various procedures. Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to surgical instruments and procedures. Experience with inventory management systems to track supplies efficiently. Demonstrated ability to apply aseptic techniques consistently in a fast-paced environment. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology enhances accuracy in instrument preparation. Excellent attention to detail, organization skills, and ability to follow strict protocols.
