Sterile Processing Educator Hunter International, Inc - 4.1 Cleveland, OH Job Details Contract 17 hours ago Qualifications Content development Classroom experience Instructional materials development Classroom Teaching Educational content composition projects Precepting Full Job Description Sterile Processing Educator Cleveland, OH 7am -330pm The Sterile Processing Educator is responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and training for sterile processing technicians. This role ensures that staff are equipped with the knowledge, skills, and competencies required to perform high-quality decontamination, sterilization, and instrumentation handling in compliance with current industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
Sterile Processing Educator Responsibilities:
Design and deliver comprehensive education and training programs for sterile processing staff, including onboarding, ongoing competency assessments, and certification preparation Provide classroom instruction, hands-on training, and simulation exercises covering all aspects of sterile processing: decontamination, assembly, sterilization, storage, and distribution. Ensure all educational content aligns with the latest standards from organizations such as AAMI, CDC, OSHA, and facility-specific protocols. Collaborate with infection prevention, surgical services, and quality assurance teams to support continuous improvement and promote best practices. Monitor staff performance through audits, assessments, and feedback, offering remediation or additional training as needed. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, certification requirements, and emerging technologies in sterile processing and central services. Serve as a subject matter expert and mentor for sterile processing technicians, encouraging professional growth and development.
Sterile Processing Educator Requirements:
Sterile Processing management or educator experience strongly preferred Skilled in creating educational materials and resources Able to provide real-time education and precepting Minimum 2-5 years of recent sterile processing experience with strong technical and instrument knowledge #INDHS
