Job Description

PRN Certified Sterile Processing Technician -No weekends, no holidays and no call! Physician's Surgery Center, a leading multispecialty surgery center, is seeking a dedicated and certified Sterile Processing Technician to join our dynamic team. As a Sterile Processing Tech, SPD, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and safety in our surgical environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform the decontamination, cleaning, processing, and sterilization of surgical instruments and medical equipment. Follow established protocols and standards to maintain the integrity and sterility of all processed items. Monitor and maintain equipment functionality, reporting any malfunctions promptly. Collaborate with surgical and nursing staff to ensure timely and accurate supply of sterile instruments. Adhere to infection control policies and procedures, maintaining aseptic technique at all times. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with industry standards and best practices.
Required Skills:
Certification as a Sterile Processing Technician (CSPDT) or Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST). Previous experience in sterile processing within a healthcare setting is preferred. Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
