Baylor Scott & White Medical Center- Uptown provides a wide range of medical and surgical services for to the greater North Texas area across 8 ORs, 24 private Inpatient rooms, a full-service ED. The hospital specializes in both inpatient and outpatient procedures in Orthopedics, Joint Replacement, Spine, General, Bariatrics, Surgical Oncology, ENT, Reconstructive Surgery, and other surgical specialties. Baylor Scott & White Medical Center Uptown is searching to hire a full time Sterile Processing Technician.
Job Summary:
The Sterile Processing Technician cares for and maintains all surgical instrumentation. Sets up supplies and instruments for surgery cases.
Required Skills:
Position Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Equivalent 2-3 years' experience as Instrument Room Technician Experience with all types of sterilizers Knows operating room instrumentation Organized in setting up operating room instrument tray Understands operation of steam/ gravity sterilizer Understands Standard sterilizers Ability to prepare reports and keep records Familiarity with medical terminology and departmental supply items is required
