- Job Summary and Qualifications
- As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that's committed to the care and improvement of human life - one surgery at a time.
- Your responsibilities will include:
- + •Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards•+ •Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care•+ •Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs•+ •Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized•+ •Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries•What qualifications you will need:•+ •High School Graduate / GED•+ •(CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician, or (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician must be obtained within 2 years of employment start date•+ •1 years experience is preferred•Benefits•Texas Orthopedic Hospital, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
