Job Description

Where You'll Work Founded in 1976, Holy Cross Hospital - Davis has grown into a 220-bed hospital of choice for the flourishing communities of northern Utah. Over the years we have enhanced our care by offering a broad range of services, advanced medical technology, and a comfortable, convenient patient experience. To meet the needs of northern Utah's growing population, we opened a brand-new 16,000-square-foot healthcare facility in Roy, known as the Weber Campus. The Weber Campus, which is convenient for patients in Ogden, Roy, and other neighborhoods west of I-15, currently offers emergency care, radiology, mammography and 24/7 laboratory services. Located in the northern portion of the Wasatch Front and only minutes from Hill Air Force Base, you can enjoy quick access to Ogden, Salt Lake City, Antelope Island State Park, hiking, biking, and the beautiful outdoor activities that Utah is known for. Job Summary and Responsibilities Join our team as a Certified Sterile Processing Tech. In the Certified Sterile Processing Tech role you will: Promote improved quality and improved patient safety in the OR by ensuring the efficient flow of the Sterile Processing department. Perform routine tasks relating to the decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of instruments, equipment and sterile supplies. Responsible for general operating and monitoring of sterilization equipment. Maintain records in compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission and OSHA standards. Maintains Certification, and monitors, instructs and mentors non-certified. Facilitate awareness and understanding around what is at stake with patients in the OR. Facilitate the department's preparation of staff to pass survey/regulatory assessments. Job Requirements In addition to bringing your whole self to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following: Computer skills required CRCST or CSPDT certification required upon hire or transfer High School Diploma/G.E.D. required Physical Requirements - Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly)
