Day, Evening, Night Shift Available Job Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Sterile Processing Production Technician to support daily Sterile Processing Department (SPD) operations. This role is responsible for receiving, inspecting, tracking, and coordinating loaner and consignment instrument trays throughout the sterilization process. The ideal candidate will have hands-on SPD experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment while maintaining strict quality and compliance standards. Key ResponsibilitiesLoaner & Consignment Tray Management Receive, inspect, and verify incoming loaner and consignment instrument trays for accuracy, completeness, and condition. Confirm tray contents before and after sterilization according to established procedures and documentation requirements. Track tray movement throughout the sterilization, storage, and return process. Coordinate with vendors, SPD staff, and leadership to ensure timely processing and delivery of trays. Resolve discrepancies related to tray contents, missing instruments, or documentation. Production Workflow Support Support daily production operations and workflow prioritization to meet departmental deadlines. Assist with workload management to maintain efficient instrument processing turnaround times. Monitor instrument flow and escalate issues impacting productivity or compliance. Maintain clean, organized, and compliant work areas. Documentation & Quality Assurance Accurately document tray receipt, sterilization records, tracking information, and return activities. Utilize instrument tracking systems to maintain complete traceability of all instruments and trays. Support quality assurance initiatives and regulatory compliance standards. Identify opportunities to improve workflow efficiency, accuracy, and turnaround times. Ensure compliance with hospital policies, AAMI standards, infection prevention guidelines, and SPD best practices. Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED. Minimum 2 years of Sterile Processing Department (SPD) experience. Experience handling loaner and consignment instrument trays. Knowledge of sterilization processes, instrument handling, and infection control standards. Experience using instrument tracking systems and documentation platforms. Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills. Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume healthcare environment. Team-oriented with a proactive and positive attitude.
Pay:
$20.00 - $22.00 per hour
