Sterile Processing Technician Location:
Menomonee Falls, WI 53051
Duration:
13 weeks +
Contract Shift:
Day/Evening Shift Schedule:
7:00 AM - 7:30 PM or 10:00 AM - 8:30
PM Note:
We have X-ray, CT, MRI, Interventional, Nuclear, Mammography, Sonographer Multiple openings in New York and New Jersey. Local/Travel Contracts available in multiple departments in all states. You can refer your friends or colleagues for this role or any other Tech role; we do offer a referral bonus of $500.
Qualifications & Skills Required:
High School Diploma or equivalent Knowledge of decontamination, sterilization, and instrument processing Basic computer skills and documentation ability Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to read, write, and follow instructions
Preferred:
1+ year of healthcare or sterile processing experience Certification in Sterile Processing (CRCST or equivalent) Completion of Central Sterile coursework
Job Summary:
Performs decontamination, processing, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and sterile supplies. Ensures compliance with regulatory standards while maintaining a safe and efficient sterile processing environment.
Responsibilities:
Decontaminate, clean, disinfect, and inspect surgical instruments and equipment. Assemble, wrap, label, and prepare instrument trays for sterilization. Operate and monitor sterilization and cleaning equipment. Perform biological monitoring and document sterilization processes. Ensure compliance with AAMI, AORN, Joint Commission, and OSHA standards. Maintain accurate records and logs of all processing activities. Identify appropriate cleaning and sterilization methods for instruments. Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment. Deliver sterile supplies and equipment to various hospital departments. Assist with endoscopy reprocessing when required. Report equipment issues, safety concerns, and deficiencies. Support training and orientation of new staff. #
