Job Summary The Perioperative Services Support Technician performs a variety of duties related to maintaining the Operating Room/Procedure Room including but not limited to: restocking of supply cabinets, cleaning equipment, and assisting on tasks outlined in Room turnover PIT Stop Model. Assists the RN in patient transfer, positioning, and prepping. Ensures proper set up of each operating room such as equipment and beds based on patient's age and needs. Assists in the transportation of patients from one location to another as well as transporting specimens, stat labs, and retrieving blood products. This role requires some clerical duties: answer calls, deliver messages, checks e-mails, and takes emergency on-call. Pay Range Minimum $23.00 Midpoint $29.64 Maximum $36.28 Rate of pay is determined by various factors, including but not limited to knowledge, skills, competencies, experience, education, as well as position requirements.
Experience Required:
Minimum one (1) year of previous experience working in a hospital setting.
Preferred:
One (1) year of previous experience working in a surgical environment. Experience in pediatric patient transportation and pediatric surgical environment.
Education Required:
High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
Preferred:
Post High School education in health care course(s).
Specialized Skills Required:
Ability to prioritize and complete duties in a timely and organized manner: ability to work collaboratively and in a positive manner with others; demonstrate flexibility and creativity in response to unexpected changes in work load/staffing. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; interpersonal relationship and collaboration skills. Strong organization skills; excellent critical thinking, judgment, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail, vigilance, poise and composure in stressful situations.
Preferred:
Bilingual in English/ Spanish.
Licensure Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS).

Certified Surgical Tech. Work Environments
