Job Description

Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Certified Surgical Technologist/Surgical Assistant, where you will play a vital role in supporting surgical procedures across a variety of specialties. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients through expert assistance and meticulous attention to detail. You will collaborate closely with the oral surgeon. and other healthcare professionals to facilitate smooth operative experiences and uphold the highest standards of infection control and patient care in the dental office. Duties Prepare operating rooms by ensuring all surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment are sterile, organized, and ready for procedures Assist surgeon during operations by passing instruments, suturing wounds, and managing surgical tools with precision and efficiency Maintain strict aseptic techniques to prevent infection and ensure patient safety throughout all phases of surgery Monitor vital signs and physiological responses of patients during procedures, providing support as needed in critical care situations Support preoperative assessments by reviewing patient histories, medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology to ensure comprehensive care Participate in infection control protocols and adhere to hospital policies for sterile technique and safety standards across diverse surgical environments Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) from an accredited program is required; experience as a Surgical Assistant is highly valued. Dental Assistant with oral surgery experience. Proven OR experience in hospital setting or dental setting. Strong knowledge of pre-operative instructions and post operative instructions. Demonstrated proficiency for accurate documentation of patient records and surgical data Ability to perform suturing skills confidently along with basic life support (BLS) certification for emergency preparedness Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, vital signs monitoring, and emergency response protocols. Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
