Job Description

First assist in robotic thoracic surgery, collaborate with leading oncology specialists, and enjoy a Monday-Friday schedule in beautiful coastal Jacksonville, Florida. Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center in Jacksonville, Florida is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Thoracic Surgery team. Practice within one of the nation's leading cancer programs while working alongside experienced thoracic surgeons in a highly collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Position Highlights
  • Monday-Friday schedule
  • Mix of clinic, inpatient care, OR, and cancer surveillance
  • First assist in open, minimally invasive, and robotic thoracic surgery cases
  • Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards
  • State-of-the-art cancer center dedicated exclusively to oncology care
  • Epic EMR Responsibilities
  • Outpatient evaluation and management
  • Postoperative and cancer surveillance follow-up
  • Inpatient rounding and consults
  • Chest tube management and procedural support
  • First assist in thoracic surgery procedures
  • Support interventional pulmonology procedures Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
  • Florida PA license (or eligibility)
  • NCCPA certification required
  • First assist experience preferred
