Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Surgical Dental Assistant to join our growing dental team In Lake Wakes Dental Group. This position plays a vital role in supporting oral surgery procedures and ensuring a high standard of patient care. Key Responsibilities:
Assist the oral surgeon during surgical procedures (e.g., extractions, implants All-on X, biopsies) Prepare and sterilize instruments and surgical areas Maintain accurate patient records and charting Monitor and reassure patients before, during, and after procedures Educate patients on pre- and post-operative care instructions Ensure compliance with infection control and OSHA protocols Manage surgical inventory and order supplies as needed
Skills & Qualifications:
Dental Assistant certification required
MUST HAVE PHLEBOTOMY LICENSE
Surgical or oral surgery assisting experience strongly preferred Current CPR/BLS certification Strong interpersonal and organizational skills Ability to remain calm and efficient under pressure Excellent verbal and written communication skills Self-motivated with strong initiative Outgoing and patient-focused demeanor Familiarity with dental software (Open Dental is a plus) Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset Goal- and results-driven Availability to work
