We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Surgical Circulator / Operating Room Coordinator to support the safe and efficient flow of surgical procedures. In this role, you will coordinate operating room activities, prepare surgical suites, maintain compliance with safety and sterilization protocols, and serve as a key communication link among the surgical team. This position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to exceptional patient care while working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and growing practice. Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms before procedures by ensuring all required equipment, instruments, implants, supplies, and medications are available and properly organized. Verify that surgical suites meet cleanliness, sterilization, and safety standards before and after each procedure. Coordinate communication among surgeons, anesthesia providers, surgical assistants, and recovery staff to support efficient surgical workflows. Assist with patient positioning, room turnover, equipment setup, and case preparation. Monitor inventory levels and communicate supply needs to management. Maintain accurate records related to surgical procedures, sterilization logs, equipment maintenance, and quality assurance activities. Ensure compliance with office-based surgery regulations, infection control standards, and internal protocols. Assist with specimen handling, labeling, and documentation when applicable. Participate in emergency preparedness activities and safety drills. Support quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiency projects. Requirements Previous experience working in an operating room, ambulatory surgery center, or procedural setting. Strong knowledge of sterile technique, aseptic practices, infection control, and surgical workflows. Experience coordinating surgical cases and managing operating room logistics. Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR/EHR) systems. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Strong communication and teamwork abilities. Ability to remain calm and effective in a fast-paced environment. Compliance & Safety Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, CDC, AORN, and state office-based surgery standards. Follow infection prevention and sterilization protocols. Support emergency preparedness and patient safety initiatives. Participate in quality assurance and continuous improvement programs. Preferred Qualifications Experience in plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery, or office-based surgical facilities. Knowledge of surgical instrumentation and equipment. Experience with inventory management and surgical supply coordination. BLS certification preferred. Compensation & Benefits Competitive hourly compensation based on experience. Paid time off.
