Our well-established periodontal and implant practice is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our clinical team. This role is ideal for a confident, efficient assistant who thrives in a surgical environment, understands sterile protocol, and values precision and patient comfort. Key Responsibilities
- Chairside assisting for advanced periodontal and implant surgeries
- Set up and maintain sterile surgical fields
- Anticipate provider needs during procedures
- Manage surgical instruments, sutures, implants, and grafting materials
- Monitor patient comfort and assist with anxiety management
- Take high-quality digital radiographs and intraoral images
- Deliver clear pre- and post-operative instructions
- Accurate clinical documentation and charting
- Maintain
OSHA/CDC
infection control standards- Support smooth operatory flow and on-time surgical schedule Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 2 years dental assisting experience
- Surgical assisting experience strongly preferred (perio, implants, oral surgery)
- Radiology certification required
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and surgical protocols
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced surgical setting
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Professional, calm, and patient-focused demeanor
