Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Step into an impactful surgical team role at a respected healthcare center, assisting in vital procedures within a dynamic operating room environment. This contract position is ideal for individuals passionate about patient safety, supporting physicians, and thriving in high-stakes circumstances.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist surgeons and circulating nurses during a variety of surgical operations Prepare and maintain sterile field in the operating room, ensuring proper instrument setup and supplies Pass surgical instruments and supplies to surgeon and surgical assistants Assist with patient positioning, draping, and transport before and after procedures Uphold exceptional standards for infection control and surgical asepsis Accurately track instruments, sponges, and sharps throughout procedures Maintain clear, effective communication with perioperative team members
Desired Qualifications:
Direct experience as an Operating Room Technician (ORT) or Surgical Tech Proficiency in sterile technique and OR protocols Ability to remain composed in fast-paced surgical settings Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail Excellent interpersonal and teamwork abilities Non-certified Surgical Techs with relevant experience are encouraged to apply Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification preferred
