Job Description

Are you interested in a hands-on healthcare career where you are part of the surgical team? Our Scrub Tech Apprentice Program is designed to train motivated individuals to become Surgical Technologists through structured, on-the-job learning in a fast-paced operating room environment. This is a paid training opportunity where you will gain real-world experience while developing the technical and clinical skills needed to assist in surgical procedures. No prior surgical experience is required-just a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to patient safety. What we're looking for.
EDUCATION
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent
Preferred:
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Required:
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 90 days of hire
Preferred:
TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
Required:
Interest in surgical services or healthcare Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn Ability to read and understand oral and written instructions Proficient communication and interpersonal skills Basic computer knowledge Excellent customer service skills Ability to be flexible and demonstrate accountability
Preferred:
Previous healthcare experience (CNA, EMT, sterile processing, etc.) What You'll Do With guidance from experienced surgical staff, you will: Learn to prepare operating rooms with sterile instruments and supplies. Develop and apply sterile technique and infection prevention practices. Assist with patient positioning and surgical preparation. Support surgeons during procedures by passing instruments and supplies (as skills develop). Help maintain a safe and sterile surgical environment. Participate in instrument, sponge, and needle counts. Assist with room turnover and equipment cleaning between cases
