Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dental Surgical Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. In this vital role, you will support the dentist during a variety of surgical procedures, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and comfortable experience for patients. Your expertise in chairside assisting, infection control, and medical documentation will help uphold the highest standards of patient care and safety. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where your skills directly contribute to improved oral health outcomes. Responsibilities Assist the dentist during surgical procedures by preparing and passing instruments, materials, and supplies with precision and efficiency Maintain a sterile environment through strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans when necessary, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning Manage patient records using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems such as Dentrix or Eaglesoft, ensuring all medical documentation is accurate and up-to-date Monitor vital signs and patient comfort levels before, during, and after procedures to ensure safety and well-being Support pediatric dentistry cases by creating a welcoming environment for young patients and assisting with age-specific procedures Collaborate seamlessly with the dental team in four-handed dentistry practices to optimize workflow and patient care efficiency Requirements Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or Surgical Assistant within a dental clinic setting, with knowledge of general dentistry and prosthodontics preferred Familiarity with Dentrix preferred. Knowledge of infection control standards, aseptic techniques, anatomy, and dental assisting best practices Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality at all times This role is paid and offers an engaging environment where your skills will make a meaningful difference in patients' lives. $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
