The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting dental procedures, ensuring patient comfort, and maintaining a sterile environment. This position requires proficiency in dental assisting techniques and familiarity with various dental software systems. Duties Assist the dentist during surgical procedures, ensuring all necessary instruments and materials are prepared and available. Maintain a sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures. Manage patient records accurately using dental software such as Dentrix and Epic. Provide support in pediatric dentistry, ensuring a child-friendly atmosphere during treatments. Utilize four-handed dentistry techniques to enhance efficiency during procedures. Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and post-operative care instructions. Perform routine tasks such as cleaning instruments, sterilizing equipment, and maintaining the dental clinic's organization. Assist in managing medical records, ensuring compliance with medical terminology standards. Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting or a related field is preferred. Familiarity with general dentistry practices and pediatric dentistry is highly desirable. Proficiency in using dental software systems, particularly Dentrix and Epic. Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dental procedures. Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment while providing excellent patient care. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for maintaining accurate records and ensuring procedural efficiency.
