Role:
The Surgical Tech First Assist works alongside surgeons and the operating room team to support a wide range of surgical procedures. In this role, you'll provide direct intraoperative assistance, helping ensure procedures are performed safely and efficiently while maintaining the highest standards of patient care. You will function in both scrub and first assist capacities, utilizing advanced technical skills, knowledge of surgical anatomy, and sterile technique. This position is ideal for an experienced surgical technologist looking to expand their scope and make a meaningful impact in the operating room.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent (required). Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program (required). Surgical Technologist certification (required). Current Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association. Completion of a Surgical First Assistant program or equivalent experience (preferred). Prior operating room experience (required). Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instrumentation, and sterile technique. Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills.
