Job Description

Connecticut Valley Oral Surgery Associates is seeking a full time dental surgical assistant. You must be able to travel to our Greenfield and Northampton, Mass locations. Office hours are Monday-Friday 8a-5p. As a dental surgical assistant you will provide support to oral surgeons with a variety of duties: Assisting with all surgical procedures (extractions, hard and soft tissue grafting, surgical exposure of impacted teeth, Tori removal, biopsy's, implant placement.) Proficient in Straumann and Nobel implant systems with knowledge of others. Assisting and monitoring with Intravenous conscious sedation, general anesthesia and supplemental use of nitrous oxide. Proper sterilization of instruments, breakdown and disinfection of dental operatories. Greeting and seating patients in a professional and caring manner, while retrieving an updated medical history and charting notes and treatment plans. Monthly emergency protocol training Experience in the Medical /Dental field is a must. You also need to have your x-ray Certification.
