Job Description

Surgical Service Line Coordinator ton-Wellesley Hospital United States, Massachusetts, Wellesley 25 Washington Street (Show on map) May 08, 2026 Summary Responsible for overseeing and coordinating the administrative and operational aspects of the surgical service line within the facility. Does this position require Patient Care? No Essential Functions
  • Coordinate and facilitate the scheduling of surgical procedures, ensuring optimal utilization of operating rooms, equipment, and personnel.
  • Serve as a point of contact for surgical patients and their families, providing information, support, and guidance throughout the surgical process.
  • Manage the inventory and availability of surgical supplies, instruments, and equipment.
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with regulatory standards, best practices, and organizational policies.
  • Foster effective communication and collaboration among members of the surgical team, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, nurses, and support staff.
  • Develop and implement educational programs and training sessions for surgical staff to enhance their knowledge and skills.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of surgical procedures, patient information, and other relevant documentation.
Education Bachelor's Degree Healthcare Management required Can this role accept experience in lieu of a degree? No Licenses and Credentials Experience Surgical/Perioperative Experience 2-3 years preferred and Medical Office/Hospital/Managed Care Experience 2-3 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Understanding of regulatory requirements and quality standards in healthcare.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
