Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Assistant to join our team. As a Surgical Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting surgeons during surgical procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will contribute to the success of our surgical team.
Responsibilities:
  • Prepare operating rooms by sterilizing equipment and ensuring all necessary supplies are available
  • Assist surgeon during surgical procedures by passing instruments, sutures, and other supplies
  • Maintain a sterile field throughout the procedure to minimize the risk of infection
  • Monitor patient vital signs and assist with patient positioning
  • Must be BLS certified, if you are not, certification can be provided through the office
  • Document medical information accurately and maintain patient records
  • Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe environment
  • Provide support to the surgical team as needed
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in a surgical or dental setting is preferred, but not required
  • Understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Note:
