Job Description

Category Nursing - CVOR Tech Job Type Contract Bring your clinical expertise to a dynamic surgical environment supporting cardiovascular operations as a CVOR Tech. In this key role, you'll collaborate with a skilled surgical team and contribute directly to optimal patient outcomes. Your technical proficiency and attention to detail prepare both patients and the operating room for cardiovascular procedures, ensuring safety and efficiency throughout each case.

Qualifications:
Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program or equivalent training required Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred At least one year of recent experience in a Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting strongly desired Familiarity with surgical instruments, terminology, and CVOR protocols Demonstrated commitment to maintaining sterile technique and infection control standards Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for effective team collaboration Ability to respond quickly and appropriately in high-pressure situations
Key Responsibilities:
Assist nursing staff and surgeons in preparing the operating room and instruments for cardiovascular procedures Provide critical support during surgeries, including passing instruments, managing sterile fields, and handling specialized CVOR equipment Prepare, position, and transport pre-operative patients as needed Monitor and maintain accurate inventory of instruments and supplies before, during, and after procedures Adhere strictly to infection prevention policies, quality standards, and safety guidelines Support patient care goals through effective collaboration with all surgical team members This position offers a meaningful opportunity to expand your CVOR skills, work with advanced technologies, and contribute to exceptional surgical care.
