Job Description

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Certification and minimum 2+ years Surgical Tech / Operating Room Tech experience required. This contract opportunity requires an experienced and detail-oriented individual skilled in both Nursing - ORT and certified Surgical Technology. Your expertise will help ensure positive surgical outcomes and support the healthcare team in delivering exceptional patient care. Schedule/Hours Full-time contract assignment (specific shift information available upon interview) Qualifications Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) required Previous experience in an operating room technician (ORT) role highly preferred Comprehensive knowledge of aseptic technique, surgical equipment, and sterile field management Ability to anticipate the needs of surgeons and assist efficiently during procedures Exceptional teamwork, communication, and organizational skills Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification Key Responsibilities Prepare operating rooms by setting up instruments, surgical equipment, and sterile supplies according to scheduled procedures Assist surgeons, nurses, and fellow staff throughout operative cases, maintaining strict adherence to sterility protocols Monitor and manage sterile fields and surgical instruments before, during, and after procedures Provide swift and accurate turnover of rooms between cases Collaborate effectively with the surgical and nursing teams to optimize patient safety and procedural outcomes Support inventory management by tracking and ordering surgical supplies as needed This role offers exposure to a diverse array of surgical specialties and the chance to further develop specialized clinical skills within an established healthcare setting.
