Job Description

Overview We are seeking a friendly and professional Surgical Coordinator / Medical Assistant to join our dream team. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our clients and visitors, providing exceptional customer service while managing surgical /authorization operations. This role requires strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.

!!! Responsibilities Greet and welcome visitors in a warm and professional manner. Obtain Authorizations and document accordingly Answer phone calls promptly and manage inquiries with excellent phone etiquette. Schedule appointments and manage calendars for staff members. Ensuring all materials are stocked and accessible. Acts as an effective liaison between the patient, surgeon, primary care physician, and the surgical facility in all aspects of pre-operative preparations. Schedules all patient surgeries and pre-operative appointments, including those with the patient's primary care physician, surgical facility Schedules post-operative appointments as appropriate Notifies patient of all scheduled appointments Collects all pertinent information for upcoming surgery, such as bookings, insurance, H&Ps, and signed consent forms, medications Contacts patient prior to surgery advising them about their arrival time at the hospital/ surgical facility. Handle incoming and outgoing mail and packages efficiently. Assist with administrative tasks as needed, including data entry and filing. Provide support to other departments as required, fostering a collaborative work environment. Ensure confidentiality of sensitive information while maintaining professionalism at all times. Skills Proficient in computer literacy, with experience in office software applications. Strong customer support skills, demonstrating empathy and understanding toward client needs. Excellent organizational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively. Outstanding customer service skills, ensuring a positive experience for all visitors. Experience in front desk operations or as an office clerk is preferred. Strong phone etiquette to communicate clearly and professionally over the phone. Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a busy environment. Ability to adapt to new technologies and computerized systems as needed.
