The Operating Room Technician plays a vital role in supporting surgical procedures by maintaining a sterile environment, preparing operating rooms and surgical instruments, and assisting surgeons during procedures. Working under the direction of a Registered Nurse, this individual helps ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care throughout the surgical experience. Schedule Full-Time 7:00 AM
  • 5:00 PM Four days per week On-call rotation required Key Responsibilities Scrub and assist surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures.
Maintain strict adherence to aseptic technique and infection prevention standards. Assemble, prepare, and organize surgical instruments, equipment, and supplies for procedures. Set up and break down surgical cases efficiently and accurately. Demonstrate clinical competency while providing care to diverse patient populations. Assist in ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process. Communicate effectively with surgeons, nurses, anesthesia providers, and other members of the healthcare team. Demonstrate professionalism, accountability, and sound clinical judgment. Maintain compliance with all Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center and Department of Surgery safety policies and procedures. Utilize supplies and resources responsibly while supporting departmental budget goals. Qualifications Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Current Surgical Technologist certification. Previous Operating Room experience preferred. Strong knowledge of surgical instrumentation, sterile technique, and operating room procedures. Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment.
