Dental Surgical Assistant - Implants & Oral Surgery Northstar Dental Implants Scarsdale, NY Job Details Full-time $24 - $32 an hour 22 hours ago Full Job Description Northstar Dental Implants is seeking an exceptional Dental Surgical Assistant to join our growing implant-focused practice. As the newest sister location of an established and successful dental group, we offer the systems, support, technology, and leadership necessary for long-term career growth. This is not an entry-level position. We are looking for a highly motivated surgical assistant who thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes pride in clinical excellence, and wants to be part of a team that changes lives through advanced implant dentistry. What You'll Do Assist with dental implant surgeries, including single implants, multiple implants, and full-arch procedures Prepare surgical rooms and maintain sterile protocols Assist during extractions, bone grafting, sinus lifts, and minor oral surgery procedures Take CBCT scans, digital radiographs, intraoral scans, and clinical photographs Monitor patient comfort and provide exceptional chairside support Prepare PRF and other regenerative materials (experience preferred) Manage surgical instruments and implant inventory Educate patients on post-operative instructions and treatment expectations Work closely with doctors and team members to ensure an outstanding patient experience Explains pre and post procedure instructions understanding insurances is a plus Explaining treatments is necessary Phone etiquettes Good knowledge of computers and using EMR software. Ideal Candidate Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience (surgical experience preferred) Implant and oral surgery experience highly preferred Having experience as receptionist and multitask is a plus Strong knowledge of sterilization and infection control protocols Experience with digital dentistry and CBCT imaging is a plus Excellent communication and patient management skills Detail-oriented and highly organized Team player with a positive attitude and strong work ethic Ability to stay calm and efficient during complex procedures Why Northstar Dental Implants?
