At Westchester OMFSI, with 2 locations, we combine advanced oral surgery with a warm, patient-centered atmosphere where teamwork really matters. We're looking for an experienced Surgical Assistant to join us part-time (Mondays and Fridays), with a path to full-time later in the year. If you love surgery, want your days to feel purposeful, and enjoy helping patients feel calm and cared for, this opportunity is a great one! What you'll do Assist the oral surgeon chairside during surgical procedures, anticipating needs and keeping everything running smoothly. Prepare patients for surgery, explain procedures in clear, reassuring language, and answer questions. Maintain a clean, sterile, and well-organized surgical environment, following all infection control and safety protocols. Take digital X-rays and 3D scans and ensure all images and records are properly saved and documented. Update charts, treatment notes, and medical histories accurately while maintaining HIPAA compliance.​ Provide post-op instructions and help coordinate follow-up care so patients leave feeling confident and supported. Required Minimum 2 years of dental assisting experience in oral surgery or periodontics. Strong knowledge of oral surgery terminology, instruments, and procedures. Comfortable operating X-ray and 3D/CBCT imaging equipment. CPR or BLS certification (or willingness to obtain). Reliable, organized, and calm under pressure, with excellent communication skills and a true team-player mindset.
