Duties Prepare treatment rooms with sterile instruments and supplies, adhering to strict aseptic techniques and infection control protocols Assist the dentist during various surgical procedures, including extractions, implant placements, and periodontal surgeries Manage patient comfort by monitoring vital signs, providing post-operative instructions, and ensuring a calm environment Operate dental imaging equipment such as X-ray machines and 3D scanners to capture accurate diagnostic images Maintain detailed medical documentation and records in EMR systems like Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic while ensuring HIPAA compliance Support the dental team with chairside assisting using advanced dental terminology and four-handed dentistry techniques Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with the dental receptionist and updating medical records Requirements Proven experience in dental assisting within a clinical setting, especially in surgical or pediatric dentistry environments Proficiency with EMR systems including Eaglesoft, Dentrix, or Epic; knowledge of medical coding and documentation standards Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy knowledge relevant to oral surgery Ability to perform X-ray procedures safely while maintaining HIPAA regulations for patient privacy Familiarity with dental terminology related to prosthodontics, endodontics, general dentistry, and pediatrics Excellent communication skills to coordinate with patients, dentists, and other team members effectively Certification in dental assisting or related fields is preferred; ongoing training in medical imaging or specialized surgical procedures is a plus Embark on a rewarding career where your skills make a real difference!
