Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic oral surgery team as a Dental/Surgical Assistant and be a vital part of delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. In this role, you will support oral surgeons during surgical procedures, ensure strict infection control standards, and help create a comfortable experience for our patients. Your expertise in dental assisting, medical documentation, and clinical procedures will contribute to the success of our practice and the health of our patients. Duties Assist oral surgeons during a variety of surgical procedures, including extractions, implants, and IV sedation, ensuring smooth workflow and patient safety Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up necessary supplies, and maintaining aseptic techniques to prevent infection Take dental X-rays and 3D scans, ensuring accurate imaging for diagnosis and treatment planning Monitor vital signs and patient comfort levels throughout procedures, providing support to ensure a positive experience Maintain strict infection control protocols by adhering to OSHA standards and sterilization procedures Support administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments with dental receptionists and updating medical records as needed Requirements (Preferred) experience in dental assisting, with familiarity in chairside assisting and dental terminology Knowledge of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and anatomy relevant to dental procedures Ability to operate dental imaging equipment including X-ray machines and 3D scanners accurately Strong understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry, oral surgery, and healthcare Excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with providers, patients, and other clinical and administrative team members Certification in dental assisting preferred; knowledge of HIPAA compliance is essential Ability to handle multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail Join us if you're passionate about advancing your career in dental healthcare!
