Dental Surgical Assistant

Wooster Oral Surgery is seeking a Surgical Assistant to add to our team. We are looking for a fun, hardworking, compassionate, team player to help us grow the practice and continue to serve our community with all of their oral surgery needs. Previous oral surgery experience is a plus but not required.

Surgical Assistant Job Description Responsibilities:

• Preparing for patients and surgeries
• Assisting during and after surgeries
• Maintaining the cleanliness of the surgical room
• Assists the Surgeon before, during and after surgeries
• Prepares for surgeries and cleans after surgeries
• Adheres to appropriate procedures and techniques and differs to the surgeon for guidance
• Observe patient condition.
• Report adverse patient reactions to surgeon.
• Provide excellent customer service
• Prepare medical treatment room
• Set up patient care equipment

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Radiology Certified
• Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team setting
