Job Description

The South Cascade Surgery Center is looking to hire a Sterile Processing Technician who will work as part of the health care team. The projected start date for this position is June 29, 2026. We are open Monday through Friday, beginning at 6:00 a.m. and close when surgeries are completed for the day. As a result, candidates must be willing to work varied hours with flexible scheduling based on daily surgical volume. However, we do not require weekend, holiday, or on-call shifts. Our Sterile Processing Technicians work in a fast-paced environment and also serve as Operating Room Assistants while managing surgical inventory. Successful candidates must be able to prioritize multiple responsibilities, multitask effectively, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic setting. While prior experience is preferred, it is not required. Comprehensive on-the-job training will be provided, with the expectation that the employee will obtain certification through CBSPD or an equivalent program within 18 months of hire (including one year of experience and a six-month certification window).

Education, Experience & Requirements:
Basic Life Support certification by end of month from 30 days of hire & maintained. Candidate must pass Urine Analysis and criminal background check. Ability to exert up to fifty (50) pounds. Able to sit, stand, walk for prolonged periods. Able to lift, position, push and/or transfer patients. Able to do considerable stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching.
