Job Description

Category Nursing - ORT Job Type Contract Advance your surgical technology career in a dynamic environment, supporting a high-performing operating room team. This contract position is tailored for experienced and certified Surgical Technologists (ORT, CST) who are ready to make an immediate impact over a 13-week assignment.
Schedule/Hours:
3 shifts per week, 12 hours each Day shift: 9:00am to 9:30pm Specific days are to be finalized during the interview process
Qualifications:
Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Operating Room Technician (ORT) with certification Active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Minimum of 2 years recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting Exceptional knowledge of aseptic technique and surgical procedures across specialties Ability to work collaboratively in fast-paced, high-stress environments Strong communication skills and attention to detail
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare the operating room and supplies for each procedure, ensuring sterility and readiness Assist surgeons and nursing staff during surgical procedures by passing instruments and anticipating needs Maintain accurate counts of instruments and sponges throughout procedures Adhere to strict infection control protocols and support patient safety initiatives Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues promptly Restock and clean the operating room post-surgery in preparation for subsequent cases
