7:00 AM•6:00 PM About Us We are a fully digital practice specializing in the full scope of maxillofacial surgery, including full-mouth rehabilitation (All-on-4/6, zygomatic implants, teeth-in-a-day) and orthognathic procedures. Our daily workflow includes wisdom teeth removal, dental implants, bone grafting, extractions, and patient consultations and follow-ups. Our team is committed to excellence in patient care, safety, and compassion. Job Summary We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Oral Surgery Assistant to join our team. This position supports our oral surgeon in providing patient care before, during, and after each procedure. This role requires a strong understanding of dental procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced oral surgery environment. Key Responsibilities Assist oral surgeon during surgical procedures. Prepare treatment rooms and surgical trays for procedures. Sterilize and disinfect surgical instruments, materials, and equipment in strict accordance with OSHA and infection control protocols. Maintain and ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment. Monitor patients before, during, and after sedation, recording vital signs accurately. Document and maintain accurate medical records within the EMR system, ensuring compliance with HIPAA. Obtain CBCT, X-rays, intraoral scanning, photos, etc., as needed. Greet, seat, and prepare patients for office visits and procedures. Conduct patient assessments during evaluations, including vital signs and medical history review. Perform administrative tasks such as patient check-in, pre•and post-op call, appointment scheduling, charting, sending prescriptions, etc. Monitor stock of surgical supplies and medication as needed. Provide support with general office tasks such as answering phone calls, scheduling appointments, etc. Performance Expectations Arrive on time and prepared for scheduled shifts. Maintain a professional, positive, and team-oriented attitude at all times. Demonstrate accuracy and attention to detail in all clinical and administrative tasks. Provide compassionate, respectful, and clear communication with patients and team members. Support efficient daily workflow by anticipating the surgeon's and patients' needs. Take initiative to restock, organize, and maintain cleanliness of clinical areas. Be adaptable and flexible in assisting with both clinical and administrative needs as directed. Qualifications Current Oregon Dental Assistant Certification (required) Oregon Radiologic Proficiency Certificate (X-ray certified) (required) Minimum 1 year of dental assisting experience (required) Previous oral surgery experience (strongly preferred) CPR/BLS certification DAANCE certification is preferred; must be completed within the first year if not already certified (employer supported) Strong communication, teamwork, and organization skills Physical & Work Environment Standing, walking, and manual dexterity required; occasional lifting to 30 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodation) Exposure to typical clinical environment conditions (e.g., radiation, communicable diseases, medications)
