Nov 14, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of Surgical Pathology with a focus on Gastrointestinal, Head and Neck, Gynecological or Breast Pathology. Applicants must have an M.D./Ph.D or equivalent degree. Anatomic Pathology (and/or AP/CP) from the American Board of Pathology or equivalent and an unrestricted PA medical license/eligibility are requisites. Teaching responsibilities may include participation in a broad spectrum of intra and inter departmental teaching activities including pathology house-staff and fellows, and medical student teaching is expected. Clinical responsibilities may include Anatomic Pathology/Clinical Pathology coverage at Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania (HUP) with subspecialty interest in gynecologic pathology, breast pathology and cytopathology.
