Jun 26, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of surgical pathology with interest in bone and soft tissue pathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP-only or AP/C. Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the Surgical Pathology service with coverage of Bone and Soft Tissue Pathology service at Penn Medicine including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital and its affiliates, general frozen section service, autopsy service and night/weekend call. Coverage of additional pathology subspecialties will be considered. The main practice site will be Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania.
