Jun 06, 2026 at 11:59 PM Eastern Time The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure clinician educator track of the Standing Faculty. Expertise is required in the specific area of surgical pathology with interest in bone and soft tissue pathology. Applicants must have an M.D. or equivalent degree. American Board of Pathology, AP-only or AP/CP. Teaching responsibilities may include medical students, residents, and fellows. Clinical responsibilities may include participation in the Surgical Pathology service with coverage of Bone and Soft Tissue services at Penn Medicine including the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Penn Presbyterian Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital and its affiliates, general frozen section service, autopsy service and night/weekend call. Coverage of additional pathology subspecialties, in addition to bone and soft tissue will also be considered. The main practice site will be Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. Research or scholarship responsibilities may include development of an independent or highly collaborative research program (as PI, Co-PI or Co-I) in the area of anatomic pathology, particularly bone and soft tissue pathology.
