MEDICAL ASSISTANT FOR SURGICAL DERMATOLOGY MOHS PRACTICE PART-TIME
Searching for a part-time reliable Medical/Surgical Assistant to join our Mohs surgery team. The hours will be Monday-Thursday 8:30am-1:00pm and Fridays 8:30am-12:30pm but hours are negotiable. They will provide assistance to the licensed physician in a clinical office setting. The candidate must have the ability to multi-task, fast learner and be detailed oriented. Surgical and Dermatology experience a plus. Offering a competitive salary for part-time and will depend on experience. We are looking to hire the right person to join our team. Great work setting and staff.
Responsibilities Include :
Assist patient in preparing for exam. Enter medical histories and prescriptions into EMR. Assist physician during procedure/surgery, using sterile technique. Educate patients and respond to patient questions in office/on phone as needed. Injections for local anesthesia. Document all medical instructions given to patients. Clean and organize exam rooms, prepare procedure trays, clean and autoclave instruments, and stock supplies. Wound Care; including suture removal, and dressings. Triage patient calls and contact physician as required. Fulfill responsibilities as assigned by providers and management Adhere to company policies and procedures
Surgical Scheduling Experience:
Medical assistant certificate Experience of 2-3 years in clinical setting required. Dermatology experience a plus Prior Mohs experience is preferred. Knowledge of general Mohs procedures, treatment, surgery, bandaging, suture removal, injections, clean and autoclave instruments. Quality written and verbal communication skills. Detail oriented. Knowledgeable of medical terms with
CPT & ICD-10
Professional in appearance and mannerisms. Demonstrate compassion and professionalism with patients and co-workers Able to prioritize tasks, understand the provider's instructions, and know when to seek information or advice. EclinicalWorks EMR knowledge preferred but not required
