This position assists with the delivery of patient care across multiple disciplines: Preop, Phase II Recovery, OR and Business Office.Responsibilities :
Perform basic patient care tasks such as vital signs and discontinuing IV fluids Perform basic documentation in EPIC such as vital signs and room assignment Assists is room breakdown, to include removal and cleaning of equipment and supplies from room Stocking supplies in patient care rooms and the operating rooms Transport patients to assigned areas For the Dallas Perianesthesia Department, may perform peripheral IV insertion and priming of IV tubing when delegated by a registered nurse (RN) within the scope of job duties. Appropriate training and documentation of competencies required. Utilizing established safety protocols, perioperative surgical assistants in OR/procedural areas transports and delivers approved medications from the pharmacy or Omnicell to the operating room as directed by the anesthesia provider, surgeon or perfusionist.WORK EXPERIENCE
