Lead Surgeon / Medical Director Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Surgical Assistant to support our cosmetic surgery team in delivering high-quality aesthetic procedures. The ideal candidate will assist surgeons before, during, and after surgeries, ensuring optimal patient care, sterile technique, and smooth surgical operations. This role is essential to the success of procedures such as liposuction, tummy tucks, breast augmentations, BBLs, and other outpatient aesthetic interventions. Key Responsibilities Prepare the operating room with necessary instruments, sterile equipment, and supplies. Assist the surgeon during procedures by handling instruments, retracting tissue, suctioning, and suturing under supervision. Maintain strict sterile technique throughout all stages of surgery. Monitor patient vitals during the procedure and communicate any concerns promptly. Support pre-operative and post-operative patient care, including transferring, positioning, and wound care. Document surgical activities, prepare reports, and maintain accurate records. Ensure equipment is cleaned, sterilized, and functioning properly. Collaborate with nurses, anesthesiologists, and surgical coordinators to ensure seamless workflow. Adhere to HIPAA, OSHA, and all surgical safety protocols. Qualifications Certification as a Surgical Technologist or Surgical Assistant required (CST, SA-C, or similar). Minimum 2 years of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in plastic or cosmetic surgery. BLS and CPR certifications (ACLS preferred). Knowledge of cosmetic surgery procedures and terminology. Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure. Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus. Schedule & Compensation Monday to Friday (occasional weekends as needed).
