Traveling Implant & Oral Surgery Assistant About FLOSS Dental FLOSS Dental is a fast-growing dental group on a mission to redefine what a great dental practice looks like. We invest in our people, technology, and patients because we believe exceptional care starts with an exceptional team. Position Overview Tired of the same four walls every day? As a Traveling Implant & Oral Surgery Assistant with FLOSS Dental, you'll work across multiple locations, supporting doctors in a variety of surgical procedures while gaining exposure to different teams and practice environments. This position requires previous oral surgery assisting experience. Applicants without hands-on oral surgery assisting experience will not be considered. We're looking for a confident, adaptable assistant who is comfortable assisting with extractions, implant placements, bone grafting procedures, and other oral surgery treatments in a fast-paced clinical setting. Key Responsibilities Assist dentists and oral surgeons during extractions, implant placements, bone grafting procedures, and other oral surgery treatments Prepare and sterilize surgical instruments and operatories in accordance with infection control standards Review medical histories, obtain vital signs, and ensure all pre-operative documentation is complete Provide chairside support and patient education before, during, and after surgical procedures Travel to assigned FLOSS Dental locations as scheduled and adapt quickly to varying clinic workflows Maintain accurate patient records and clinical documentation Coordinate with office teams to ensure efficient scheduling and procedure preparation Monitor patient comfort and assist with post-operative instructions and care Required Qualifications Dental Assistant certification (DA, RDA, or other state-required credential) Minimum 2 years of hands-on oral surgery assisting experience required Experience assisting with extractions, implant placements, bone grafting procedures, and surgical case setup Radiology certification Current CPR/BLS certification Ability and willingness to travel regularly between FLOSS Dental locations Reliable transportation Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and adapt to different teams and environments Preferred Qualifications Experience with implant surgery and full-arch cases Experience working in high-volume surgical practices Familiarity with digital imaging and practice management software What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Health benefits Paid time off and holidays Continuing education opportunities Supportive leadership and collaborative team culture Opportunities for growth within a rapidly expanding dental group How to Apply Please send your resume directly to cayla@flossdental.
